reading a wiring diagram
Anybody in OKC area know how to read a wiring diagram? I bought a 94 Pete and the inside of the dash looks like a disaster area. The previous owner thought wiring in the dash could be done by twisting wires and throwing a scrap of tape at it. It is a nightmare!!!! Several of the switches have gotten so hot, that they melted and dripped onto the row of switches below. After I saw this mess, I wondered why the truck did not burn down around me as I drove it home.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated!! I've done things this past week I thought i would never do, but can't afford the shop rates of $85/hr.

Schematics are fairly simple to read after a little guidance. Just remember, if it's a factory manual, ALWAYS go by what the schematics say. No jimmi-riggin'.
A Pete eh?? Man, must be nice. What are you planning to do with it? Do you already pull or have another rig?
Obviously, I'm not in OKC or I'd be more than happy to help. Sorry.

I need to have the truck done by this weekend so I can go to work by the first of next week. Thus, I am trying to stumble throu, and not burn me and truck to ground.
Appreciate the offer, but cannot wait till then. Guess I could drive truck to GTG, but don't think neighbors would approve. It would make a heck of a project for the pm.
