does anyone know where to have a dyno test done in the phx. area??? I am looking to add a supercharger to my truck and i need to find out which end is giving me the most air passage resistance. If you happen to respond to this query and know of a place i would also like to know if you have used such place and the price. Thanks in advance!!!!
I just came over here to post this information and read your question. I haven't been happy with the power of my F-350 and just had my mine checked out for any problems. The place is ADS in Chandler. They have a dyno and knowledgeable mechanics. They were recommend to me by a parts store. I think they realized I was ripe for a repair bill but said they could find nothing wrong. The cost for a full diagnostic check is $100.00. I don't know how far we can advertise a business so I will PM the contact info.
There is a company called Arizona Dyno Chip. It may be the same place listed above with a different name now. Anyway they developed a turbo kit for the contour and are a highly recomended shop in the contour and couger sites. Check them out I believe they also have machine shop service avail. They truely are a one stop hot rod shop. Here is a link to there site:
I spoke with Keith today and he said he can give you power/torque numbers but cannot do any real tuning. He doesn't get enough folks with diesels to justify the cost of the equipment mods to his dyno.
Keith is just being a cheapass, I owned the same brand of dyno (Dynojet) and the diesel rpm pickup option is like $300, that would pay for itself in a few vehicles ..
I own a different dyno now, (Dynapack hub dyno) but it doesnt support automatics yet, or 6/8 lug vehicles, but once it does, I'll be sure to let everyone know..
