Passenger side Towing Mirror

Hello all,

I have an 04 PSD Excursion and when driving I really dont like the passenger side towing mirror. I don't know if it's just me or what. It really magnifies everything. I have to use the little one on the bottom. sometimes all I see is the front grill of another vehicle in the whole mirror, even if they are not that close. Do you guys experiance this, Did you get use to it? Driver side towing mirror is good.

Thanks,

Ruben G

Best mirrors I have ever had on a rig. You will get used to it.

Try this config.

After reading your post yesterday, I really looked to see if the passenger mirror actually magnifies. I compared sides with cars behind me and they seemed to be about the same. I remember the first time I drove with these mirrors, it was a little disorienting. I adjusted the large ones as you normally would and the little ones so I just missed the cars on the horizon and you can clearly see anything that is along side you. This maximized my ability to see everything around my X and the best part was that the mirrors weren't showing the almost the same view. The same objects passing in the mirrors at the same time with a different view is what is so disorienting. Also it allows the big mirrors to get the big view that doesn't include looking at the wheels and the curb, so they can be a little higher. The little ones provide that view without trying and if you need more, just temporarily lower them as needed. Oh yeah, you get use to it and there are the best mirrors ever.

Thanks for your replies LabCab and Downsized2X, I agree they are good mirrors, although they are a little disorienting at first. I guess I just have to get use to them.

Thanks,

What irks me is the pass. mirror does not telescope in/out as the driver mirror, just sticks all the way out. It also appears to be factory mirror.

Runuovr,

Both mirrors don't telescope, I thought they did. I'm gonna check it out.

There must be something broken.

The first TT mirrors were set to a fixed position. I think in 01 they all became extendable.

I have the 3" rounded mirror on both tow mirrors. They help tremendously and where I have them positioned does not interfere with the tow mirror view and it eliminates all blindspots.

Helps my wife too!!
