turn up the heat on a 351, or ap in a 460??

application is '90 bronco with the centurion converion (4 doors) I have a 351 crate motor with around 20K on it. Everything that touched or had anything to do with the motor was replaced, (yes, everything). This thing gets spanked on hills while towing a trailer (8k or so) I sometimes get passed by slow big rigs, its that bad. It has 3.55 gears, but 4.10 gears will be swapped in shortly (one ton rear) I know that a bone stock 460 will not get owned on the hills like a bone stock 351 will.

I have a 351, with a roller lifter ready block, bone stock, and E4OD trans
Also have complete 460 from an '88 F350, behind a stick shift, with matching ECU. I have a ZF 5 speed as well What i do not have is the stick column, pedal assembly, or the master/slave assy.

thoughts on pumping up the anemic 351, or dump in lieu of a 460 and call it good

the trans is the biggest expense, current one has issues, so its a draw on fixing/rebuilding mine, or getting another one.

Discuss.

Im a big 460 fan. What a powerful motor an low end torque to boot. Between it an the 300 six two off the best Ford motors ever.. If you could make that 460 fit in there an the transmission problem fixed Id go that route. Youll have no problem with power. Just my 2 cents good luck
