Another hidden album goof.
So, I get an email saying that my new truck album is being hidden from the listing. And I wonder why. I checked the guidelines and don't see anything that would deem it to be hidden. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=17256 Any ideas?

Well, what if someone is searching for a 1946 Ford Truck, and now that mine is hidden they cannot see it.
It may be a project truck per say, but it is still one of my trucks displayed in a gallery. It's not a tech page. I have another hidden gallery for that, it's called "tech pictures for FTE misc". Anyway, How should I alter it to make it acceptable to be un-hidden?.

Go to the sliver bar across the top and where it says Galleries (3rd icon from the left) click that.
Then click List
That is the main gallery page .
On the bottom you will see access to page after page of albums totalling 812.
You will see some things that people haven't hidden their album,
Don't worry, these albums will also be hidden from view once they are seen.
Albums are usually culled once a day.

The main gallery page consists of pages 1 thru 812.
However,
When I click your hyperlink in your profile.
I click that and get this:

Right, that link is to my main gallery page, that has all of my other galleries within it. Right? What I'm asking is...... When I search for my 1946 gallery in the 'gallery search' page I cannot find it. It shows 1 page of cosisting of 7 1946 trucks where mine is not included. Do you know why or am I just doing it wrong?

On behalf of Eric.
Your 46 album is considered a Tech album and should remain hidden.
If it is found to be un-hidden,it will be re-hidden.
Please See & Read the guideline's.All the information is listed there.
If a album that is supposed to be hidden is opened again by the user gallery owner (by blatently going against the guildelines their gallery could be removed entirely and gallery privileges lost)
Once your 46 is completely restored a photo of the finished product can be allowed on the main gallery.
The main gallery page is like a calendar.
People look at calendars that have pics of Premium photos of things.
I assume you are worried about a person not finding your album when they search?
Well, if people interested in a 46 know you have a 46 project, they more than likely visit the pre 48 forum. Those people will then find out & view your truck by clicking your gallery link.
This is from the User gallery content guideline thread.
What is acceptable to be viewed by the public on the main user gallery page?
1) Side view ,3/4 view (Calendar quality)Photo's of YOUR or Family member's FORD Truck.
2) Only Ford Car's Albums (If you are an FTE Member in good standing $15.95 fee)
What album has to be HIDDEN from Public view ?
An Album containing:
1) Illustrations
2) Diagrams
3) Tech photos (ie: bumper,Hood,Grille type shots)
4) Avatars
5) Magazine photos
6) Model cars
7) Artist renderings
8) Project Photos
I hope this has been helpful to understand.

Mil1ion, ok I understand all of that, for the most part. The only thing I can see that my '46 page could possibly contain is numbers 3 and 8. But those are possibilities.
So anyway, if I take some of those "bumper, hood, grille" type shots out and focus on the vehicle as a whole it could be unhidden without causing a problem, correct?
I see plenty of old vehicles that are in the shape of my '46 that aren't hidden.... now they aren't projects; they are the person’s vehicle. So, if that's the case, those aren't even supposed to be unhidden as well?
Also, on that last subject who said my '46 is a project anyway? What if someone has a brand new '05 Super Duty and they create a gallery for it.... is that supposed to be hidden? I not trying to sound mean or argumentative so please don't take it that way..

Have you read the thread containing the guideline's with an explanation of why ?
I was sure everything was properly addressed.
The idea of the main page of the gallery was to keep it like a calendar that would be sold to the public.
Would you buy a calendar with pictures of NON-Pristine vehicles ?
That's it for me.... as this is better answered by an FTE administrator.
I just tried to help
