OEM Style Utility Bed?

Greetings all,

I have been saying for a long time that Ford (or someone) should offer a utility bed that is cosmetically the same as the OEM plain bed, with contoured lockable doors on the (out)sides, and the inside of the bed having the dimensions of a flareside-style bed (4x8, for example). Well, I spotted one on the road the other day! Anyone know who makes these? I have googled, and searched the forums, to no avail. If they are reasonably affordable, I would be all over this!

Is this box similar to what you saw, it's a Knapheide KSS Utility box. its the same width as the SD and at the midpoint of the cab it matches the contour of the cab. The wheel well openings match the Ford contours, all the corners are rounded off and they use Ford Van trail lights. Most people that see it think that its a Ford option. The box is all steel except for the wheel openings and the end caps, they change out the wheel openings for a chev or dog, but you can tell it was designed with Ford wide cab in mind.

Its not a real good photo of the box

No, I found it late last night after doing some more searching:

It is from Royal Truck Body. Unfortunately, it is pretty pricey ($5-7k) and has been discontinued anyway. Bummer. I really like that bed.
