2000 F150 Odometer Dissappears & No 4wd

I have a 2000 F150 XLT with the Electronic Odometer. Sometimes the Odometer will just dissappear. In addition to this issue, my 4wd switch does absolutely nothing. Any ideas on where to start?

1. Odometer problem: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...25252Bblackout go there and read. very simple fix, took me half hour tops.

2. Does the dash 4x4 light indicator come on when you turn the switch?

Hmm. I don't know, it could be a bad switch. I guess just wait a little bit and see if anyone else has some better advice for ya. good luck with your problems!

Did you ever find the problem with your 4wd? I have this same problem with my 01 ranger.

No. I replaced the switch, but that didn't fix the problem. All that did is turn the 4x4 indicator on. It is scheduled to go to the dealer this week.

Sounds to me that you have, or had 2 problems (one being the switch).

When you turn the key to the on position (during the lamp check) do the 4hi and 4lo lights come on?
