I have 18" factory rims. I would like to install 17" rims and was told that the 17" may not fit because Ford puts bigger calipers on if you get the 18" rims, and the calipers may rub the inside of the 17" rim.
Has anyone put 17" on, or have any input?
rmblaster please let us know what you find out. I am really frustrated by the lack of tire choices and I have a feeling that won't be changing any time soon. I like the rims, but I'm going to pay through the nose for new tires and as of now all I can get are more Conti's. If I knew then what I knew now I'd have gone with 17" rims.
My neighbor has a set of factory 17" rims and tires from his 2005 F-250SD that came off when his truck had less than 7000 miles on it - if you're interested I can ask him what he would be willing to sell them for.
