Shimmy at 60+

I just recently replaced the front brakes (pads) on my truck. They were corroded into the retainer so I had to beat them out to replace. Now when I reach speeds of 60 + I am getting a vibration through the steering wheel. It definitly started after the brake change so it has something to do with this. I am gong to change the rotors today but any other ideas would be a BIG help.

Thanks

Check your tire balancing. I know the shimmy coincided
with your other work, but could be.

I think that the rotor change may make a difference. Do you feel any shimmy when braking?

I would definitly check for wheels properly installed unless you are sure. We have had this very scenerio on company Ford vans, ended up with ruined wheels. These were done by dealerships that you would expect to be familiar with the hub-centric wheels.

Yes the wheels are installed right. I thought the same thing and checked.
Changed the rotors tonight. What a PITA. They were rusted and locked in place. anywho it did make some differance but still have a little shimmy. I am going blance the wheels later this week.
