Grand Blanc Ford Service

I just moved to the Grand Blanc area and am looking for a reputable mechanic. Preferrably one that knows a 2000 Ford Ranger with the 2.5 4cyl.
I'm getting poor mileage (18mph highway) and a slight jerking upon acceleration. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

poor mileage could be many factors. We need more info on mechanical condition and tuneups etc.

It's in great shape. 120,000 miles. I change the oil every 3000 miles and the old oil is as clean as when I put it in. I'm bringing it to a local shop tomorrow for a tune up. We'll see from there. It's last "tune up" (according the the previous owners records) was at 98,000 miles.
