I have a 1983 F-250 and I wanted to get some of those aftermarket taillights. They dont seel aftermarket taillights for 80-86 ford trucks tho. After looking around ive noticed that the basic shape of the taillights of the 2 years are very simular. I would love to compare the two. I would buy some aftermarket tail lights to try to see if they work but the lights im looking for are on ebay and the seller doesnt allow returns or will answer my question.

If anyone could tell me if the 87-96 truck taillights work with a 80-86, that would be great!

 

I have 91 taillights in my 80 they fit fine.

 

I put clear tails designed for 87-96 in my 1980 and they fit fine.

 

The only difference is the outside shape of the plastic. Instead of indents like on the 1980 to 1986 they are smooth. Should fit fine.
