1988 460 EFI performance upgrades?

Alright, i posted a while back about maybe having a FI 460 motor in my sights.
I thought it would be pretty neat, and kinda good for wheelin and crap to maybe swap this motor and the electronics into my 79 ford. Im pretty sure it'll be lots of work and frustration, but considering i can get the whole dam 88 truck, i wont be lacking any electronics or anything. 300 bucks didnt sound to shabby either, gotta love mud bog lovin neighbours. So basically what im curious about is how well do these motors handle mods, and what are some nice bolton type mods that make these motors open up a bit more? If i remember correctly they are a speed density setup, which isnt quite as happy about modding, but i know in the mustangs you COULD do a fair amount of mods before the speed density computer couldnt tune properly. So let me know what, and how you like some mods youve done to your 460 EFI's
Thanks guys
Brian

Brian don't be to shy on that efi 460, it's just like the old school stuff more air in, more burnt gases out, just add fuel as required.
there are some mild internal mods you can do also but that get a little more complicated.
If your just bombing around in the mud empty you will have plenty of horse power and torque with a stock engine.
I have had my truck for 7 years now, you make a modification and then you correct for it, another mod and compisate again I guess that is were the challenge is, I am at the point now where I am looking at bigger injectors and throttle body, bolt it on and see what happens hell i'ts only money , and along the way you might learn somthing.
As for other mods I have done they should be on my profile (I think) if not let me know and I will fill you in....

The EFI motor needs a set of headers just like a carbed 460 does. Also, the K&N FIPK eliminates some intake restriction and gives it a meaner sound.

My mods have gone past the 'bolt-on' stage, but I'd be happy to share my experiences.
