theyre wired up simple and redneck, just have the input wires coming from the back of the sub through a hole drilled in the back of the box, i opened them up today to check and make sure that the wiring was right, which it was. i stuffed a bag and a half of polyfill in each hole, the box is "compartmentized" and it looks like it was built by someone who knew what they were doing. the carpeting job is pretty shabby, i might fix it but its going behind my seat where nobodys ever gonna see it. know all i gotta do is find a amp for it, you reckon a decent 400 watt RMS will do it, whats a good name for a amp?

i see you said 300 watts, is that all i will need? cool, i think i can find one for a decent price if its only 300 watts RMS

I said something that puts out about 300 because that's most likely going to be more than you need. If you have too much power the subs will sound hollowish. Even though they're rated for that much power, doesn't mean they'll sound good. Plus, a 300wRMS amp is going to cost less $$$ as well. Good names: Kicker, JL Audio, Kenwood, Eclipse, Alpine, Infinity, MB Quart, Hifonics.. these aren't all in the same class by any means but any of them will push your subs pretty well. You can find some awesome deals on ebay if you look hard enough. Also when shopping for an amp, don't jump on the first thing you find, look around for a week or more.

i was told that these two subs will put out more than what i want inside my truck. Is that true? i dont wanna go and do all this work, then have it be too much and bust my head open.

You can always turn down the gain. I don't know exactly how much bass you're wanting though. I have one 10" Eclipse sub in mine right now, and it puts out almost as much as the two Audiobahns I had.

Before you spend a single cent, get a buddy with a system already in their vehicle to come over and help you test it. Have him park next to your truck. Get some thick speaker wire long enough to go from his amp to your speaker box in your truck. Have him turn the system on in his vehicle with his windows up and doors closed so you can concentrate on the bass sound coming from your box in your truck being powered by his amp. Try it with your windows up and down to give you an idea of how hard it might hit. You could also have him turn the high freq gain all the way down.

Those cones are only IMPP type material, not pulp fiber and resin as found in the CV series, so I wouldn't expect too much power to them without the cones flexing and making the sound muddy at high excursions.

I've got a single 10" 104SVC in a ported box behind the seat in my regular cab and it's more than enough to give me a great back massage while commuting, depending on the type of music. Also, like Romer said, you could always turn down the amp gain.

Yea, his one 10" puts out more than enough in his truck. I was actually surprised when I heard it.
