Ford Trucks and BBQ

[br][FONT COLOR="#0000ff" SIZE="3" FACE="Veranda"]One of the great things about the web is that it introduces you to people you might not otherwise have ever met. Case in point yesterday, when my boys and I drove our 66 F250 2wd down U.S. 20 in Upstate NY through picturesque "Mohawk Valley" to spend some time with Fatz and Company enjoying the afternoon with good people, talking Ford trucks and eating some kick ash BBQ ribs served right off the back of Fatz' 66 F100 4x4! Yeee doggy! I could have died right then and life would have been good. Take advantage of what FTE offers on the net, but be sure to meet and greet as many members as you can along the way. That's what it's all about IMHO.

p.s. JOWILKER -- you missed some awesome BBQ.

Ford Trucks and BBQ

I'd like to add an experiance of mine, with a very fine FTE'r:
I'd been comunicating with "BadLowDog" for almost two years, having met him right here on the FTE message boards over a question on '68-'74 Econolines, he sent me pictures of his beutiful '73 E200, which is "loaded" with 302/C4,ps,pb,factory a/c, ect, and we talked about lots of things, including Ford Trucks,I told him that I was looking for a body for my rusty old '74E300, well last October he bought a rust free '70 E300 from a seized vehicle auction for $140.00, then offered it to me for $150.00, THEN offered to drive it from Oregon to Florida for me for only 1/2 the cost of the gas!!!!!
He and his wonderful wife arrived here last November 7th, stayed with my wife & I for two days & flew back to Oregon.
We had the best time that we have had in a very long time, we went to the Saturday night cruise in Old Town,(in Kisseemee,Fl),out for dinner, breakfast, had a great meal right here at our house, where we were joined by my Niece & her husband.
Great people, Great Website/Club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick
