When I had the original 265 BFGs on my truck would leave two black strips about 20' long. Now with 285 Toyo ATs it spins just a little before it hooks up and goes. Only about a 1' strip now.

Mine would fairly easily, even with the 3.73's and LS, that is until the 36's went on. Now I dare not even try it for sake of destroying good tires.

The 4.56's go in next week, then I may throw the old tires on, just to melt them to the ground, especially with the ARB's.

hehe. I don't even know how to powerbrake. Never had a vehicle that could do it. I've been tempted to do it in my V10 but am afraid I'll melt the rear brakes. Or worse, tear up my rear diff.

What I want to know is how you got a Ford LS that works that well. I really need to roast them to get 2 marks. Maybe it really is the tires.

My stocker LS will lock up on asphalt just fine, it's in other conditions where it doesn't do it's job

with your foot on the brake pedal and the tranny in low rev the engine as high as it will go. Let off the brake just enough to move forward a tiny bit so the tires start spinning then you have to feather the brake and throttle at the same time to slow forward motion and keep the revs from going too high. After you get a good roast started shift into 2nd manually and you can keep em frying with 1/2 throttle or so. If you have a hard time getting it down throw a little bleach under your rears, plus they will make LOTS of smoke although the smell isn't quite as yummy smelling.

Oh I'm waiting to see who blows something up first.

This is gonna get fun. Make sure you submit the carnage pics when all is said and done.

My 02 V-10 Ex will just sqwuak the tires, but if I do a brake stand, like I did when I raced the Chebbie 8.1, it left about a 18" patch...I could smell the tire smoke.

YEA BUDDY !! TIRE SMOKE, AKA visible testosterone !! Hooty Hoo ! I LOVE tire smoke.

It is possible to avoid carnage with judicious throttle application. Once the meats start spinning it's imperative to back off the throttle, even with a rev limiter no load on the engine could be bad at 5250 rpm.

Feeling a little grumpy ? Feeling low on vim and vigor ? Viagra ? NO, Enzyte ? NO, Cialus ? NO, NO, NO !! TIRE SMOKE BABY, your wife will have a BSEG, your friends will stare in awe in the locker room, you'll become a legend. All it takes is a little tire smoke once in a while. IN FACT, Car Craft has a whole section devoted to readers rides doing smoky burnouts. How about sending them some V10, SD, trailer towing, stump jumping, mud busting, 7K weighing trucks hazing the meats ?

Hahahahahahahahahaha! You're killin' me here. Almost getting me to go out and try that with the 36's. NOT! I can just see a big hunk of tire coming off of those pigs. Like they don't make enough noise now. LOL!

I just bought a lowly 99 v-10 crew cab long box with about 97,000 on it. It is definatley not all that fast but for some reason from a dead stop if I nail it the thing will barely move and just go up in a cloud of smoke. The last patch that I laid was about 10 seconds and then I let off it feels like it would go forever or at least until it shifts. It is probably due to the open rear and skinny stock tires, but it does have the 3.73s, I wonder what it would do with 4.10s. Now if I let it roll a little than hammer it all I can get is about a 4 or 5 second screech.
