Ok here is the story. 2003 6.0 - no real problems to date other than rear seal. Was on 3500 mile vacation through Colorado and got what I thought was a bad load of fuel. Truck would "miss" when I came to a stop. Changed filter in New Mexico and it seemed to be OK. Two weeks later it misses again going to work and the best part - it stops "Klacking" - what I call the Diesel Sound. The truck sounds like a gasser and makes no Klacking. A slight tap on the throttle while stopped resolves it and it starts Klacking nicely again. It did this at every stop on the way home until I turned the truck off when picking up my daughter - it didn't do it again the rest of the way home - could it have cleared something? No trouble lights indicated. I will take it in tomorrow to get the codes check? Thoughts? Fuel problems? Lifters? Injectors?

Milage was great on the trip after the filter change, no noticible loss in power.

Thanks for any insight!!!

if you didt get a bad tank of fuel you should change the fuel filter again.
