Thumbs up Thanks from the Kansas Chapter

There are lots of posts going around about how much fun the Rally was and how well it turned out. Seems you can hardly go to a forum without seeing a mention of the Rally in some way. There are some very good reasons for all these posts and threads along with why it was a great success. There are the obvious reasons. These include all the activities, trucks contests, fun times, great weather and great people. But let me point out what we feel are the not so obvious but yet the key to the whole show. That of course are the members that were at the Rally. This Rally was for you and was a success because of you. Ken, Peggy, FTE and KS put together a platform, but the participating members made use of it and thus made the event. So from us here in Kansas we want to give thanks to every one of you that made their way to the Rally, you are the ones that have set in place something that will last a lifetime. We had members from coast to coast as well as from Canada and Mexico, this is what it is about and that is why it worked. One member came from Canada and along the way had to rebuild the rearend in his truck, do you think he gave up and turned around, heck no, he finished the 2500 mile trip and still made the Rally . That is a true Ford Truck Enthusiast and along side him were many more just like him. FTE is much more then just a place to spend time on your keyboard it, is a far reaching group that crosses many borders and a bond that brings together new friends as well as old acquaintances. There were many new friends made this past weekend and many bonds strengthened. These are what lasts when the pictures have faded and the prizes have rotted away, these friendships are for a lifetime and beyond for they not only brought members together but they brought families together.

Thanks everyone and looking forward to next years Rally already.

Peties3 is starting off with a positive reputation.
I would also like to mention that we had an auction for the Tim Feldans memorial fund where that everthing that was auctioned off was donated by a member or sponsors of this site. This yr. we collected:
$639 for the fund!!!
This is nearly double of that from last yrs. event!!!!
Without going into great detail, Tim was a dear friend to us all in the Ks. Chapter and more than likely to many of you out there in FTE computer land, that passed away unexpectedly.
He was the type of person that we all looked up to and wanted to dearly be a part of his life. Because he was so giving, he touched each and every one of our lives and made our world much better. In a way, Tim will forever be alive in and strong in each and everyone of us.
Drive it like you stole it!!
