I keep seeing the replies for 15" wheels, and I'm lost. But then I remembers that we only had 1 or 2 half tons from the '53-'56 year range, all the trucks we had over the years were F-250 and larger. I remember we had 1 '56 panel that we got for $7 (the cost of the abandoned vehicle certificate) that we sold for 1500, and we had a '53 F-100 that had a mustang K-code 289/c4 and tilt nose (all steel, not fiberglass). That truck was was awesome. It had been cammed with an isky 3/4 race grind (don't remember what the specs were, calling them by grind was before my time). C-4 had a street strip shift kit, with a small stall converter (can't remember what the rpm range was). Otherwise it looked like a bone stock '53 custom cab, I think the tires were a G70x15.
