Update: I was at the body shop today and he called Ford. You guys were correct. The replacement hoods are steel and therefore heavier. So he's gonna get some heavy duty struts for me and put them on. Problem solved. Also, I got the correct rear window put on. Now I just need to get the roof re-repainted and I'll be set!
