I got a phone last year and I hate, HATE, the ringtones from the factory. I just want a decent ring, not birds, horses, cats, train arm crossing guards, wedding march songs, happy birthday theme.......nothing but crud loaded on my phone. I refuse to pay for more ringtones as I think they loaded the cruddy ones on my phone just so I would buy more. I've had cellphones from years past and they were just basic ringtones......basic, like me, or should I say rather somewhat boring. So, I just keep the "new" phone on vibrate.

i dont think that the nokia 6015i can download ringtones. it has "polyphonic" ringtones but i dont think it can download them. I was suprised that some of these ringtones you pay for every use? that is a lot more than i want to spend.

My new cell phone does not come with a normal phone like ringer, although it has many odd ones. The only way to get new ring tones is to sign up for US Cellular's easy edge service and download and pay for the tones and the service!

I think they leave the normal sounding ringers off the new phones hoping you will sign up for their service just to get a normal sounding ring. Or it may just be that normal rings are only popular with normal guys like me and there are fewer and fewer of those around these days.

I hate cell phones. And more than that, I hate the ignorant people who use them in public places.

Gee bump.....that's a strong statement. I agree that some folks should be a little more discreet in their cell phone use but they do come in handy in certain situations.
I have used mine in "public" places and I am in no way...ignorant.

As for ringtones....I use the "Nokia" tune because everyone else uses something different.

My apologies.

I mean people who talk in movie theatres, restaurants, stores, concerts, waiting rooms, etc. No excuse for that. Ever. If you have to talk, go outside.

I dont own a cell phone and I never will. Why should I pay for someone else's convenience? I don't know many people and frankly when I leave the house, I don't want to be bothered.

What I do own however is a cell phone jammer and boy are they fun....

Yeah, once I get out on my own, I'll probably ditch the cell phone I have. The only reason I have mine is so mommy and daddy can check up on thier little boy on demand. Oh well... Not a big deal. I'm one of the 'good' kids.

My phone is mostly used for emergencies and that sort of thing. dont use it a whole lot but i like to personalize it and i am going to put a different face plate on it for sure because there are 3 of the exact same phones around the house so it would be easy to get mixed up.
