You can try disconnecting the batttey for 10-15 min. but most likely its the temp sensor. It's under the radiator cover

After four years of reading posts about SuperDutys, that's the first one like that!

I thought I read somewhere on here that there was
a way to adjust the reading by +/- 4 deg or so???
Was I dreaming???

haven't heard of this. The reading is probably within +/- 4 deg of the actual temp.

Temp Readout
If your temp readout is stuck on -40, that usually indicates an open somewhere in the circuitry or the sensor is open.

Well I tried disconnecting the battery. That did not work. Back on July 4th I was in a fender bender. I was hit on the left front side of my truck. I am thinking that the body shop did not hook the sensor back up when they replaced parts on the front end.
