Hey guys, does anyone have a picture of where their trac bar bolts to the frame rail ?? 1978-79 4x4 F-150

Can someone scan and post it here or email it to me ?

It's on the outside of the driver's side frame rail.

1978 F-150 flareside. Primitive by todays standards but she was a jaw dropper back then. :-staun

I am doing a solid Dana44 conversion on my truck and trying to find a bracket I can use for the track bar.

I want to try and stay away from making one, for fear it will not be strong enough.

I'm hopeing I can get a bracket from some other vehicle, and make it work on my truck.

Thanks again

Wander thru a scrapyard until you find a likely candidate.

Otherwise sing the custom fabricator blues... -Hehe

I had a machine shop make me a custom trac bar and had the ends threaded so i could use large rod ends to attatch the bar without ever havint to deal with those darn bushings getting sloppy again. If you have, or can find a bracket to copy from its not hard to make. I had to make a bracket for the frame end of the trac bar because the factory bracket was too wide. you can buy the right rod end to fit the large bolt in the axle and use factory parts on the axle, makes for a really tight ride and if you go to a bigger lift, its adjustable

Not at the moment, and that truck is at the tranny shop. When I get it back I will try to get a pic on here for you.
