Well, that's a relief!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that one little, itsy bitsy, tiny, weeny, pip squeek of a hate mail got under your skin & you were packin' up & leaving.
You didn't mention anything about the benefit package. Sounds like the company is big enough to have one.
Are most of the guys regulars or is there a revolving door of employees? You could make foreman sooner than you think if the guys come & go often.
Good Luck at your new job.

I think about 6 guys or so are "regulars". Then he has some help for the busy season. I am hoping to move up pretty fast (it is just the type of person I am). We shall see.

Well, it has been pretty much two weeks since I started my job. I haven't had to work a Saturday yet! I am working around 10 hours a day (plus lunch). Well, except today, I got off early.
The owner is a great guy to work for (so far) and I get along with all the employees soo far as well (I have the same personality in person as I do on here!) I work maybe 1/2 as hard as I did at my old job. I get less money but I am less stressed out (physically and mentally) at the end of the day/week.
I have done a wide variety of things including washing trucks, cutting grass, trimming bushes and shrubs, cutting down trees (yes tree work, but small stuff) and other odds and ends. I think this job will work out and I am looking forward to plowing snow in the winter time with him.
We shall see.
