Well, seeminly in defiance to all the laws of engineering, physics, etc., my truck just passed the RI inspection (with newer, more stringent emissions standards), and with flying colors! And thank god for that, as the waiver now costs like $700. This was going to be the last time I absolutely HAD to get emissions tested, as my truck in 2 years (2 year sticker) will be a classic, and I could get classic plates if I had to.

So........this all means that I am planning on meeting up with you guys, barring any unforeseen problems. I'm taking the truck on a test run to Boston tomorrow (before the test, I hadn't driven it in 8 months), and if everything looks good I'll be seeing you there. I'll try to get there before 11:45, but may get there a bit after that--please don't wait for me to eat--coming from mid-state Rhodie, so not sure how long it will take exactly. Also, I can't leave too early in the am. The "long" trip is a bit of a gamble, as I still don't know this truck that well (and at it's age, you never really know.....)

Could one of you guys attending give me a cell phone number just in case I'm delayed (ie, broken down) or can't find the place? I'd appreciate it.

Hi. Just posting to say it was nice meeting you all today. You all got nice trucks and car. Hope to see you all in the future. Hopefully we will have more meets as we talked about.

 

We were also glad to have you as well and were glad you made it home safely.

If we all stick together like I said earlier today and plan for next year we'll have a nice big event.

Yeah, I had a good time meeting you guys and talking about truck (and non-truck) stuff. Sorry for having to head out early (and get there late), but I'm glad I came.

Looking forward to the next meet....and I think I (or someone) should bring a camera next time so we can snap some pics of our rigs--and ourselves--for everyone else in the chapter.

 

It was nice meeting all of you. The 2 gray Superduties had me seeing double but it was ok.

I had my camera but with the rain and all I thought it wasn't a good day for pics.

 

It was nice meeting you all. I had my camera too, but also didn't think it would be a good picture day. I think the ideas we had for next years event were really good too. That should be alot of fun.
