Factory 4bbl 292 in 58-60 F100??

Has anyone seen a 58 thru 60 f100 with a factory installed D code 292 four barrel? If it was factory installed--the fourth character of the VIN number would be a D. It would be a C code--if the 292 is a two barrel. I have never seen a F100 with a D code 292 four barrel--has anyone seen one??

I may be wrong, but I don't think 4V was installed on any F100s 292

That option was only for the heavy duty 292, came in larger trucks, although I couldn't tell you which models off hand. -4speed

Ive pulled a few 292's out of 62-4 F600's that came with a 4bbl as well as forged cranks.; never saw one on a F100. However wasnt special order the rule back then? You would need to find a dealers book to be sure. Then there were also dealer installs; with some anything was possible. Such as a 368 Lincoln in a F350.

You will also not find any factory documentation on 312's in trucks but they were done at the end of the era to get rid of stock. Mainly to fleet orders in mountain states.

thats true about factory orders, if you wanted something special from the factory and went to the right place theyll get but the vin #might not show it theres a looging operation that shut down a decade ago but they had a 1960 f250 4x4 that was lifted higher than the others and had a few modifications but how hard would it be to get a 4bbl intake on a 292 installed at the dealership
