#3 cylinder miss fire code

I have an 03 Exploder, I keep getting a #3cylinder miss fire code (forgot the exact code) but that is what it is. the light comes on the after a day or so it resets. Is this attributable to the fuel cap?

I doubt it, Dave. It's probably a bad spark plug on number 3, or possibily a bad plug wire. Or maybe just a loose wire connector.....

Number 3 cylinder is the one closest to the firewall, on the passenger side (if it's a V-6).

Check for water in the plug hole the 4.6s are bad about that. also move the #3 coil and plug to #1 and see if the skip moves to that if it does and has o carbon track or water then change the coil and plug.
