pulling codes

Im trying to pull the codes from the truck, both abs and EEC. I have looked at the fordfuelinjection site and understand about all the blinks and such for the EEC. THe problem is that i cant find the two plugs which im supposed to put the jumper wire into. Also i searched the forums and cannot find a strait awnser to how to pull the abs codes.

Any help is great, thanks

Look just at the hood hinge on the right side (drivers side) of the truck. Usually the ABS test port has a red cover on it that says funny enough ABS Test......not sure about the OBD II set up, but on my 93 the ecu test port is right next to the ABS test port.

If you have a 96 EB, isn't it OBDII, mine is a 96, Go to Auto zone and have them pull the codes, the connection is under the dash near the glove box. Pick up a pocket scanner, there like $50.00 I use one to reset my o2 sensors on my GT there a great investment.

advanceautoparts.com has that model for 39.99. seems like a good buy and im sure that 40 now would save way more on repairs.

Yeah the Actron will work fine. The OBDII data port is under the driver's knee bolster area. Have to turn the key ON to read codes (don't start the motor).

Alright, i went to auto zone andpulled the codes. P0401 EGR Flow Insufficient. THe computer in the store read, " exhaust gas recirculatoini flow insuffient detected in the exhaust gas recirculation system"

where is the right place to start with this problem? i looked at the Haynes book and still dont know quite where to go with it.

I just went through this, with success.
Do a search in this forum for "DTC P0401 - F150 Have tried everything! "

There are a few things to look at......good luck
