why change it??? i have always liked the looks of the 73-79 grills with either round or square lights. i like the look of my 75 grill. but i wouldnt mind puting a 78-79 grill on it for the squar headlights.
'75 F-100 4x4, 4" lift
35x15.5x15 super swamper TSL/SX
mini-spooled 9" rear end

I have seen tube grills available for the split grills (sorry, can't remember where though). It involves cutting the old grill and reusing the area around the headlights.

Just up to '79. I put a '79 grill into my '73, just swap parts and drill a couple holes, easy.
