anyone know of a decent service center in EDMONTON

I seem to get taken for a ride wherever I go. Truck is running rough, there's a code in it, but dealer wants 130$ just to get code. Also I need to get them to change plug wires - I'd do it but currently I'm injured....

any help??

tha nks

Try the ford dealer on 75 and 75, they seem to be a fairly decent place to get work done at, unles you've already tried (can't remember their name offhand but i think its Healy Ford)

Your best bet is one of the independent garages around. Most of the big dealers are over priced for the shoddy work they do. But thats just my rant, all repair shops are in business only to make money for them selves. If they happen to fix your problem then its a bonus for you.

You can buy a code reader at C.Tire for $50.00 or $85.00

Then you have it with you when you need it .

thanks guys. I gave up on the dealers today - prices from 130-200 just to read the code. I'll check out Canadian Tire - any idea what brand that is?

thx

checked out Candian Tire, I don't see an 85$ one and the $50 says it's only good for most 1982 to 1995 Ford - will this still work on my 98? It's made by Equus....

thx

are the 35$ scanners on ebay any good? I can't find a Canadian Tire one at 85$ and the only OBDII scanner they have is 249$.
