It was originally thought that the BC/Alberta chapter would be shortened to just Alberta when they split.

Because I had it created, was the Moderator & live in Alberta, Alberta would adopt it when if & when the chapter split.
It was my idea to group 2 provinces together to build the site faster

The same thing was thought for Sask/Manitoba.

The original Moderator was Vampiro located in Winnipeg.
If that chapter split, them Manitoba would go on its own.

IMO,The states you mention will have to split on their own to build them up & become strong.

So, then Dennis why haven't you split 'em up? The BC chapter seems to exist only in a thread on the BC/Alberta forum, and the future? Alberta forum still includes BC.. or are you waiting for the BC chapter to get a leader?

If they were so gung-ho to split I would have thought they'd be lining up for the job..

I have stepped aside form adminstration for a while.

Talk to Ray about this, he is in charge, not me.

My intention was to keep the BC chapter closed until someone was elected as CL for the BC chapter, then remove BC from the Alberta /BC .
It was opened last week & I agree it was a good thing to do,but the summertime is when less people are around the computer.
I suspect in October that chapter will be quite busy.

Yes, I would have thought that people would have gone gung ho to getting their own chapter going.

Always keep in mind there is a thought that each chapter will have zone type areas that will concentrate on nearby (close to) populated areas.

IE:
Vancouver Island
Greater Vancouver
Southern Okanagan
Kamloops
and Northern Zones

So, if I'm the only one in my "zone", then I would already automatically be my own CL and have to co-ordinate meetings and runs for my group(me!) with myself?

I'm not sure if Chilliwack falls under Greater Vancouver as it(GVRD) stops at the border of City of Abbotsford, far sa I know

Most people seem to think that BC stops at Hope

Yup I totally agree with that statement Racerguy, but if it wasn't for the rest of the province supplying the resources where would the lower mainland be?. At least that's what we'd like to think up here in Northern BC..lol.

Please don't forget the Columbia/Kootenay. We're not part of Alberta yet
