Here's a couple. My 72 Pontiac Lemans. Thats where I got it from. It sat on the previous owner's property at the edge of the trees. The other one is a Dodge Charger I found a few miles from home. Its covered in junk and weeds. The old guy who lives there says he's restoring it.
Hot Rod mag does the "barn find" thing every month, with pics like we see here. Many comments about "....going to restore it..." etc. Why do you leave it outside with the windows down if you're going to restore it??????
If you leave the windows up there just isn't enough challenge there to mess with a restoration. Anybody could do it. Roll the windows down so the floor pans will rust out and the squirrels can chew up all the wiring in the dash. That way after it sits out in your yard for 5 years and you decide you are never going to get to it, there is nothing left for the next guy to restore either.
Couple of recent junkyard pics. First one is a Cougar convertible, not sure of the year.
Second one is a 65 or 66 Galaxie convertible. What a shame they're both gonna rot away.
