Glad to see there are other fellow modelers here on the site! I just received a 1976 F-350 Ranger XLT truck from a collector on E-bay. Cost me $60, is unassembled and still in the plastic bag There have been quite a few (read: 3-4 a week) 70's trucks and broncos on E-bay lately. Part # is T476. Before I build it, I'm going to try my hand at making a mold of the cab and bed. Really bling it out, custom lift, tires, motor, maybe even some pics when its done. This will be as close as it gets to the real thing for me till I get out of college

It's sad that they don't have models of regular cars and trucks out there. I'll keep looking.

Avon actually makes one. I found it at a flea market, it's blue, in the original box with decals and still has the aftershave in it.

Label: 1973 Ford ranger pickup

funny that Avon would make this and the diecast people wont...

I believe the customs have to be ordered 500 at a time with logos and color schemes for your business or promotion.

The number of the auction I posted is not for the Hot Wheels 1:64 scale. (6953635893)

These are from JTC Collectibles and are 1:24 scale. Going for about $50US. It is a very detailed piece.

I emailed modelhaus and here was his reply:

"C. Lee,
Right now there are no plans to do any pickup parts. There just haven't been much sales for the truck stuff and we have been dropping more items than we have been adding new products..

Subject: MODEL KING 1979 FORD PICKUP

Hi,
with the 1979 Ford pickup coming out soon, will you guy's be makiog a resin front clip to a 1974~ 1977 version for conversion?

I think it will be a big seller, as many 1974~ 1977 Ford truck owners want to make a model of thier trucks! "

So if we all email him and ask that he make the older front clips, he may just do it!
