2.0 ranger timing help

Hey y`all , where should I set the timing on my mothers '83 ranger with the 2.0 / 4 speed ? I have cut off the convertor , removed the smog pump and I also made an EGR block off plate .

I`m so glad she got the ranger , I was about ready to beat the grand am with a 5 lb hammer . Just in case I didn`t tell y`all , I had to swap in another tranny from the junk yard. I put new axel seals and gaskets ect. in it , took it for a test drive and found out that it slipped in 1st gear . Since that wasn`t big enough of a kick in the nutts the radiator blew as well . I`m gonna put some of that 'tranny no slip' crap in it and if that don`t stop the slipping its going to the shop or the junk yard . I`m not gonna waist no more time on a car thats just gonna break down again in less than a month .

Any way thanks for any timing tips on the ranger .
