summer projects

Anyone want to share their summer projects?

I am still trying to get my Bronco ready for the trails. Have the engine in and about ready to fire it up. I am upgrading the brakes at the same time. I am putting t-bird calipers and a f350 master cyl. and booster in. Then I will be looking to cut the fenders to fit 35's and regearing with a spool for the rear.

Anyone else?

Just bought a 96' Bronco, Blew my rear differential out on my f150...

So as of now I'm working two full time jobs. getting 72+ hrs a week.

Thats why I'm never on here anymore sorry guys!!!

But all this time and money is going to a good cause...

8x 38" tires...
8x 15" rims...
2x 3" body lift
1x 6" suspension lift....

And a paint job...

Thats right Both of my rigs are going to be sitting on 38" Mick Thompson Baja claw radials, with 15" mick thompson classic II, and 6" worth of suspension lift, and 3" body lift...

The bronco which is currently green is going to get a paint job to match my blue f150...

Hope the rest of you guys have a good summer mine is sucking!!!
(But it'll be worth it in the end hah...)

For 38's I would look at upgrading the axles also and new gears are a must have.
I would look into running straight axles in the front. I think that the tires and gears in my truck are slowly killing it 35's and stock 3.55 gears. The stock gears are making the engine and trans work much harder than they should. For 38's I would at least run 4.88's.

How is the band going?

Got my Bronco running last night, I put the dist in 180 out so I just wirered it backwords but it runs.

The band has been up in the air for awhile, had some problems and I am to busy working to help sort it out... But we just recently started talking again and I guess we have two shows coming up and 8 new songs to work on... So it should be goiing strong again soon....

as for a SAS on my ford's I want to! but... I'm going to see how much punishment the IFS can take.... I definitely agree about the gears though...heh... I think thats part of the reason I blew out my rear end in the f150.

I think the fiddy will get just 4.88 gears... and the bronco will get the serious setup with a locker or something.... we'll see later on when it comes time...

But the bronco is definitely going to be wheeled harder than the fiddy...

Good luck with your bronco chris sounds like it coming along well.

Sorry to hear about the rearend Jesseburn, did ya have fun breaking in though? LOL I am still trying to get my 250 in the shop to yank the motor an fix the leaks, and now, i have a couple other things I wanna clean up while in the shop. We just got the tranny back for the 77' F100 rust bucket, so that will get put back in soon, so I can putter around in it. That's my story...
