fwiw, mine will still put you back in your seat when floored at 60........and thats up a 9% grade..............it will peg the speedo from a 60mph roll in less time than you can imagine.
Mine at 90mph will shift into final gear...Sometimes pretty hard shift at 90mph I know that it will more than exceed 100mph and as far 0-90mph no problem just get out of my way ricer's.

I use mine to pass a LOT Trust me, one of these things crusing at 60, then flooring it will cause your boost needle to jump up (quickly) and it seems to me that the Speedometer will rise faster than the tachometer. I cruise around 70, when I put it down to pass I usually find myself at 90 before I realize it.
BTW, I get 15mpg like clockwork regardless of how I drive it.

These trucks are faster than any other trucks (and most cars) on the road. If the one you drove had trouble doing 60 it was broke!!!! Drive another and hold on.
Oh yeah, test test drove another and couldn't sign my name fast enough
Yes you guys are very correct. I think I posted earlier that I test drove an xlt sport that performed much like I've read and expected getting on the highway. Hit it at 55, was doing 80 by time I finished merging. Didn't realize it was going that fast and then I felt stupid as I knew I was going to buy it and shouldn't beat on a truck with only 33 miles on the odometer.
In case you missed it, I put a deposit on it, picking it up Monday or Tuesday.
For anyone interested, the XLT sport package with black leather captain chairs is in my opinion a sharper package than the lariat, and after cash back is only 34k with about every option available (supercab shortbed).
To think I started out wanting a cheap small pickup (ranger for 19k) guess I blew my budget, but you only live once.
47 miles is not enough for the transmission to learn and as such I would expect the truck not to be as good as it should be. Drive one that has some more miles on it and the transmission has had time to go through its learning.
Mine has 14k miles and is all of the sudden getting almost 22mpg on the highway! That is considerably better than the 13-17 I was getting before.

With our 6.0 pulling a 9000# trailer, I can set you back in the seat pretty hard when going on the on ramp and I can take 6% grades for miles at 65 (speed limit).

Pulled our camper to Bristol, Tn. last year--one of my hard core Ford buddies was driving---had to step on it to pass a duramess not pulling anything that tried to cut him off. Said, "Dang, my 150 SC tweaked and chipped won't run this good empty, much less pulling 6K of trailer. Thanks, D. Gee I luv my truck.
