K&N or AirAid ?

I've been thinking of putting on a K&N Aircharger or Fuel Injection Performance Kit, but recently read a couple thread messages here about AirAid MIT (Modular Intake Tubes) and AirAid intake systems.

Is once better than the other? I've never heard of AirAid until today.

It's an '05 F150 5.4L.

Thanks,

Rick

Airaid MIT will only set you back $90. It just replaces the stock intake tube and utilizes the existing filter box. This is the way I went.

The MIT is a much bigger tube than stock and has a 5" opening that installs next to the driver side headlight. It does help wake up the truck.

Compared to the full blown intake sytems I do not see why this would not perform just as well. The stock filter box and filter are big and should flow just as good as a straight tube.
