smog pump bearing or fan clutch noise
SMOG PUMP
I think the bearings are going in my smog pump on my 87 302, I took a piece of hose and listened to it, I can hear an occasional rumbling in there, I first thought it was a crankshaft noise(weew!) can you change the bearings in a smog pump or should I get a new one(how much$$$). Don't really want to bypass it, from all the smog pump posts I read, sounds like theres side effects from disconnecting it, and no real benefit to having it removed anyway.
FAN CLUTCH
I was wondering what type of noise to expect from a bad fan clutch? it seems to turn quite easy, truck doesn't over heat, I just get quite a loud heater fan sound in the cab when its off idle(kinda of a whistle sound)
