Motorcraft Oil Fltr. Back @ WalMart

Just F.Y.I. Early this evening, my wife and I stopped at WM to drop off some film to be developed. Of course, I had to browse in the auto section. Much to my surprise, Motorcraft Oil Filters, back in stock! At least 15-20 of: FL1A's, FL400s, FL820s, FL2016, and the long and short Powerstroke diesel oil filters, the later part #s, I can't remember. The car, van and LT filters used to be $2.77, but now they cost $3.28. Still a good deal, so check your local Wally World's during your next visit. I bought four of the FL400s for my 3.0v6 Aerostar. & Berrymen's B-12 injector cleaner, I use every other month when filling with clean, crisp Chevron with Techron, the Aerostar's favorite beverage...

To my knowledge, MC oil filters never left Walmart. Just the oil, though they strangly keep stocked on 5W20 MC oil...

Maybe its just 5-6 Walmarts that I frequent.

'Crap Valvoline'? Must be a new brand. Does it come in synthetic, semisynthetic or other form?

went back today and the valvoline is gone. they must have stocked it overnight there is about 10 cases of 5w20 on the shelf along with 5w30 and 15w40. they have 3 shopping carts filled with valvoline products. all the quarts are marked down .75 and the 5 quart jug is marked down 1.50.

MC filters are back in Scottsboro, AL Wal-Mart. I didn't look for the MC oil, though. I already have way too much oil in my stategic petroleum reserve (garage).

I was at my local Walmart last night and only a few Motorcraft filters were left on a clearance sale shelf. Motorcraft filters' previous shelf space now has Fram filters.

Beware... Walmart probably was who pushed Motorcraft to got overseas with their production.
I've read reviews that newer MC filters are made to much lower quality standards than the previous versions.

Can you provide us a list of the MC products that are made overseas? I'd like to know which ones they are.

by the way, while were talking about filters, after i couldnt get anymore motorcraft filters at walmart anymore, i went to miejers to get a purolator, there aint any purolater products at miejer now! did they get bought out or something? and no fl-1a filters at marion ohio walmart, just some of the big diesel filters. did you know you can run the fl-1a on the 3.0? i do in the '93 taurus, little tight, but it fits.
