Question 89 bronco tranny problem

Hey everyone, im kinda new to the forums, but have been reading a lot of posts. The problem i am having with my AOD transmission is that it will not want to accelerate in overdrive, no matter how hard i push on the gas, it will always be decelerating, then downshifts to third, back to fourth and decelerates again. Any help would be great, cause i am buring a lot of gas on the damn freeway. Are there any adjustments that could be done?

Sounds like you need to do a TV cable adjustment. I have never done it but I probably need to. Look it up in Chiltons or Haines manual or do a search on a forum here.
