My dad's E-250 Extended Turtle Top Limo Van has about 150k and still going strong. Although it uses some oil(Mobil 1 10w30) between changes. Its very reliable and he runs it pretty hard sometimes.

Our one truck at work is a 1997 F-250 Light Duty with the 5.4 engine. It just turned 200,000 this week. Still idles and runs like it was brand new.

High mileage not a problem

My 97 Expedition XLT work truck just turned 500,000 kms (310,685 miles).
The only babying it gets is full synthetic oil changes (Castrol)...... my
workhorse just needs "water". It's a 4.6L.

My 98 F150 4.6L extended cab with a 8ft box has 282,000 Kil. 175,000miles. Knock on wood. Oil changes every 3 to 4 thousand K and Tranny changes 50,000 K. the drivers door is rusting out on the bottom and it has the good old pistonslap for about 5 minutes on cold start ups.

175,000 miles. See, I knew that there was no need to worry about the piston slap, it is annoying, but doesn't hurt anything, just proves that the piston skirts were a little short allowing the pistons to slightly wobble in the cylinders until they heat up and expand.
