Highboy's?

Son, Tell your buyer to get his cash out and buy that truck.If he has any left from smokin all that crack.Your truck was built in Kansas.And the "Highboy" is just a nickname given to pre 77'F250 4x4"s.As you have been told of different frame dimentions and powertrain components.This is true.

Gviper47
70',72',74',76'F250 4x4 "Highboy's"
All restored and all "BAD"

The 2 in the VIN has nothing to do with Canada.

I'd rather have a canadian Ford. At least the newer ones, anyways. For some reason they make more power.
This is an old thread y'all dug up...but the following needs clarification so y'all won't get the wrong info:

The VIN in question was: F26YKS09678

F26 = F250 4WD

Y = 360 2V

K = Kansas City Assembly Plant

S09678 = 1973.

1961/80: The 5th digit of the VIN is the assembly plant code.

If the code is the letter C = Oakville, Ontario Canada Assembly Plant.

If the code is anything else, it was not assembled in Canada.

High Boy's (not Ford terminology): 1967/76 F250 4WD's and 1977 F250 4WD's assembled before serial number Y20,001.

Sorry but here is my take on the Highboy name.

To me this is a Highboy:

My wife's Highboy

This is not a Highboy it is a 76 F250, plain and simple. But it is a Dentside.

Highboy is a nick name not a real name.

Yes I did post on it back in '02...someone dug it up and i read it and posted again.....some people will never get what a "highboy" is...I get tired of people calling half tons and lifted trucks highboys....it's just like Numberdummy said....67-77(up to certain serial number) are highboy's...nothing else....and they ALL have divorced transfercases....if not it's been swapped in...or it's NOT a highboy

Well Thanks for that. But another question is does any one know why the rear 205 can be put in front wheel drive rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive
