01 Liftgate Wiper Disable Switch
Anybody know what this looks like? I'm trying to figure out why my rear wiper isn't working, and the manual says to check this. Supposed to be around the latch somewhere. I found a switch that seems to be the gate ajar switch, which seems to be working.
By the way, testing the main rear wiper switch shows it's good. All fuses are good, and replaced relays and checked ground contacts in relay connections. All show good. Next step is suppsoed to be the disable switch, which I'm not sure if I can find.

The 01 EVTM shows the same thing, but apparently I think that switch I found was the wiper disable. At least from what I can find at different parts sites, the sites show a picture of the switch that I was able to pull out.
If any of those switches you mentioned are bad, wouldn't the door ajar light and dome lights stay off all the time regardless of open or close? Or would it not matter because at least two of the switches are working?
When i disconnected the switch at the latch, the dome lights went out and door ajar stayed off when the glass door was open, but it would come back on when the gate was open or when I jumpered the two leads in the connector.
When I was going through the diagnostic for the disable switch, supposedly after disconnecting the switch, if the ajar light stays off even if the glass was open or close that was supposed to indicate a bad switch, but I'm not sure if that's right. Doesn't the switch just provide a ground when the glass is open, therefore turning on the dome lights and door ajar light?

Thanks for the info.
I tried going to Pep Boys today, and the guy kept arguing that there was no such part because it wasn't in his computer. I told him to tell me what was that switch that I had pulled. He got on the phone and suppsoedly called Ford who told him that what I needed to replace was the GEM module. I told him I'd just go to NAPA tomorrow for the switch.
