The Boss is a great looking truck. It was put together by LA West and then shipped to Ford dealers. No extra go power but a nice body kit and interior.
BTW, Welcome to FTE

shoot i figure with the 5.4 under the hood, it SHOULD be able to through it a few loops. any idea where i can find out some more info like what number it is. i believe that i read somewhere that only 500 were made. right now i am stationed by baghdad and it's kinda hard for me to call around. thank you again
The 5.4 is no slouch and there are lots of aftermarket bolt ons available. The only way I know of to find the number is to ask whoever has it. Not sure about production numbers but there are a couple of guys on another board I visit that have a Boss. One has a yellow one and the other is orange.

It is a guy locally that has an orange and black BOSS 5.4 THat is a cool looking truck. I have just saw it for the first time last week. It is sitting on a car lot for sale.
We have a couple of these Boss 5.4L F150s up here for sale too. What are the hp and torque numbers? It's a great looking truck, but if I'm going to buy a 2WD F150, it's got to be the Lightning. A naturally aspirated 5.4L isn't enough.

We have an orange and red Ford F150 XLT with a 5.4 L that was made by the same company (LA West) as the Boss, except it has a custom paint job and custom interior leather seats. Ours retailed for $38K, about 8K over the Boss'. If anyone is interested or knows anyone who is interested, we are selling ours for only $22,000. It has 25,000 miles and is in show condition/single owner and never raced. If you want pictures or more info, please email me at Mandy.Muntz@hotmail.com. Thanks!!
I've seen three or four of them around town. Some of them are very sharp, some are WAY over done and look like a bunch of ricers got their hands on them.

The BOSS is kinda like a Rousch stage 1...Mainly a stock 150 w/a sweet body kit and upgraded interior. The engine is very up-gradeable...Would need suspension and many engine aders to be close to Lightnings performance and handling. Cool looking trucks however and not a slouch performance wise...
