Angry Valve Cover Problems

I Finished the mechanicles of the 4.2 i am building to discover that the valve covers are chiping. Most of the paint came off of one valve cover and the other one is starting to do the same thing. What can I do to fix this? I want to get this motor back in the truck so i can have my garage back. I know that the valve covers are made of magnesium. The engine is out of a 97 F-150.

hi, i used a heat resistant wrinkle paint to try and cover up the poor paint. first i degreased them then scraped off loose paint. to be truthfull the finnish was not the best but i did not want to damage the covers as i did not know what they were made from. good luck bokker.
