Cross-Country Drivers: Does anyone remember the old "COSMO CAFE"

It was on the bypass up through Gila Bend from Interstate 8.

It burnt to the ground quite a few years ago, but it was a landmark for a hella long time...

If anyone has pictures of it, I'd sure appreciate it. That place brings back a whole lot of early road-trip memories...

LAST EDITED ON 25-Aug-01 AT 08:59 PM (EST)[p]What state? There was a cafe my grandparents use to go to up by Duluth, Minnesota somewhere. Well they went up there one day and it was gone and later found out that it had burnt to the ground. That was just a story they told me a while ago and it just sounded familiar to yours.

EDIT: I don't remember what that cafe was called though.

People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

I live in Gila Bend, If you really need a picture, I'm sure that I could round one up someone here.
We were all sorry to see it go, lot of good memeriabila in there.
But the rumor was, that it was cleaned out the night of the fire, and hauled to Florida, you know the insurance paid for it...

Hey BOSS, is "Grandma's" in downtown Duluth still around?? I spent some time at Duluth, Sawbill Lake, and Two Harbors in '87 and '93. Nice place to be.

I don't know for shure. I havn't been up there in a while since my little alpine slide accident. Nothing ever seems to change that much up there though.
