Looking for Gas Mileage Gains and HP Gains

I am the happy owner of a 02 Ranger Edge 3.0L. I am somewhat satisfied with the power of the engine, but gas mileage is decent. I was looking at getting a K&N FIPK and a Dynomax Super Turbo Exhaust kit. Anyone had these? I know the FIPK are common but what about the Dynomax exhaust?

Disappointed. Looks like a cat-back system does not do much for performance.
Nice sound, no glory.

3.0 = 3.slow, for a reason.

4 cylinder performance and v8 or v10 gas mileage all out of one package.

You have a car engine in a 4x4 truck--well, at least the Edge is a 4x4 frame, anyway. Not a good combo.

I have a 3.0 xlt with a manual trans, and my truck is way faster then my freinds 3.0 auto edge. I get about 18-20 mpg city and 21-25 on the highway (varies depending on speed). My buddies edge gets 14-15 city and 18-20 highway. My 78 Chevy siverado, 350 auto, with lots of mods, gets 12 city and 15 highway and it doesn't even have overdrive. If it had overdrive and a lock up converter it would get the same milege as my buddies edge which is disappointing for a mid sized truck.
