Haunted F250 Crew!

I'm hoping for some suggestions on where to start. My 2000 F250 4x4 Crew Lariat has ghosts. They keep turning my interior lights on and off while driving. Intermittently, my interior lights will come on and stay for a while and then turn off, just to turn back on down the road. If I stop, turn the ignition off, and restart they usually will start operating normally(meaning they will turn off when the truck is started) When all this happens, I also get the door ajar light on the dash, but all four doors are closed tightly and latched. The dash light will normally reset and interior lights operate normally if I turn the vehicle off and restart it, but not always? Where do I start with this? I don't see any switches on the doors? Looks like they must have motion switches inside the doors??? Could it be inside one of the doors? A switch in the dash? I'm baffled!

Ghostbusters just came out with a quick-fix: WD40. Just squirt some this amazing goo into the door latch and the ghosts will high-tail it to other regions of your...mind.

really? It's that simple? Thanks.
I'll give it a try tonight.
How are the switches in the door set up on these? built into the latch? Are they mechanical or electronic?

I've seen some of the same problems on two of our work vehicles. An '00 F-450 and a '98 Windstar minivan. WD-40 in the door latches will fix it? It.... just.... seems..... too....... simple..................

That'll get rid of the light problems. Now - the ghosts? Well, maybe not. It'll just force them to go extremes...

Yes, they are built-in and they are both mechanical and electrical. You will need to get that tube inserted into the nozzle of the WD40 and spray it all around inside the latch area, work the latch a few times, then give it one more good spraying.

Oughta fix you right up.

Yes sir, Johnny Chimpo. I was thinking Jerry the Giraffe or Allie the Aligator, but, it was the only picture I could find.

Big Orn's a Ghost Buster!

Thanks Big Orn! WD did the job. We had a little exorcism and the deamons have left the vehicle! One more use for that amazing liquid. . . .
Now if I could just get the oily smell out of my truck?
