i have come across this (motorvac) product/service online, and have been interested in having this done to my truck. i noticed in another post that i think Phillip recommended this. the motorvac website makes the results look promising. has anyone ever heard of this or actually used it? also, how much will a shop charge for this service?

I, too, would like to have this done on my truck. But how do you determine which shops in your state have the MotorVac? Looks like it would work great!

Hey, if you guys are close to Lafayette,LA,my buddy and owner of Doug's Repair can do it for about $100 bucks. That is worth it considering the cost of the chemicals and the time to hook-up the machine to the vehicle. After this is done, driveability is much, much improved, especially if you let him change the plugs after he cleans it and test drives it because man!,you ought to see the $*! that gets stuck to the plugs!

here's motorvac's tollfree # which helps you locate a local shop by area code (i think-could be zip code)

1 888 788 4108

i haven't had a chance to actually call yet, but i think this is something worth looking into very soon.

hey guys, if any of you get this done to your truck before me, please post your results.
