460 FI stumbles off idle

I have a '90 F-250 that runs great except for one thing. It tends to stumble off idle, occasionally quitting. Not a good thing when crossing an intersection. Any ideas where to start? TIA.

Could be the throttle position sensor (TPS). The function of this device is much like the accel jet on a carb. Sensing the opening of the butterfly valve, the computer momentarily richens the fuel injection.
