Fan shroud not atttached at bottom

A strange rattling under the hood may be the fan shroud. It is only attached at the top with two screws. The bottom is just swinging free. The previous owner had the radiator replaced. Are there some clips or something on '94 351w? I am thinking of cleaning the bottom of shroud and radiator and using some good duct tape. I was by the Ford dealer today and his screen shows no hardware on the bottom.

There should be 2 clips that attach to the radiator bottom rail. The shroud just slips into these clips and then bolts to the top of the radiator. On my 94 its that way. Not sure about my 91, never looked.

If you don't see clips, look for a lip that the shroud can fit into, then bolt on the top

Thanks guys. I see no clips and no lips and Ford parts does not show them so I'll try a radiator shop for clips. I appreciate your help.

I have a '94 5.8L. It is as desertdave describes. 2 black spring steel clips, about 3/4" wide (left to right). Only way to see them is from under the front end, looking up. The shape of the shroud blocks the view of the clips from above, at any angle.

If the clips can't be found, you may try the zip ties for a trans cooler or elect. fan.

Thanks again. I have not been back under it yet but it sounds like some of you may have crawed under to look for me and I appreciate it. My modern marvels to repair most anything (in order of availability through the years) Baling wire, duct tape, drywall screws, cable ties, polyurethane adheasive.
